CSN&Y- Soldiers of Peace- LOVE IT (hes not on it till the last line- but i like the whole song) Jeff Golub's cd- wow its sexy. this one will be in my cd player in my suv!~

ok got the Barnes &Barnes CD. Came so fast!! THe Dont You Want to go to the moon, is a group of guys singing it and you can hear steve in it and some vocals he sings above the rest. The cd comes a bit of reading of different ideas on songs etc. so they wrote thsi about our beloved "Dont You Want To Go to the MOon" featuring vocals by America, Joe Williams(lead singer of Toto at the time), Jay Gruska(formerly of 3Dog Night) and starring the counterpoint vocals of the reigning Rock God Supreme in those days Journey's front man, Steve Perry
then about hte song Dont You Want To Go To The Moon--I wrote the song and it was inspired by a painting given to me by ex-Captain Beefhard drummer,Robert Williams. IT was a nod to my sci fi acting past and my love of a Beach Boy type chorus. After several cocktails, Steve Perry and Dewey Bunnell joined us in the studio for chorus harmony supplied by Gerry Beckley, Joe EIlliams and Jay Gruska. Everyone thought the song would get airplay and become a hit. Everyone was pretty much wrong. "voices of choices litter the wand, dont you wanna go to the moon with me soon?"
There are no other nods to steve perry mentioned. I dont hear him on "Dont Be A Singer" but he could be......

Arden on the Happy to Be Living by Tommy Tokioka Steve also sings background on the song An Angel Above Me. On the Sheena Easton song Still in Love you can't hear him on the background vocals but he is listed on the album. On Forest MacDonald's album the song It's Over was not done in 1998. Someone once on e-bay had the album there for sale and he had a letter from Forest MacDonald stating that that song was done in the very early 80's if my memory serves me right. Dewey Bunnell of American recalls how he got to work with Steve on the song Don't Fall Asleep to a Lullaby "Steve and I both lived in Marin County at the time and I met Steve in a home depot like store and we became friendly and we wrote a few things together. I started the song with Steve , and then he came to L.A. to help finish the song." The tune was in raw form when Manny and Hamer became involved. "The tape Dewey played us had no words, just the chords and Dewey and Steve singing sounds" Hammer said. "We went out for sushi, and one of us came up with "Can't Fall Asleep...then someone else came up with...to a lullaby."

Very nice. I was wondering about the guest vocals he may have done the other day, and you just answered the question for me. I'll have to listen to some of them. I like Kenny Loggins.

Sorry, the title is just ''Don't You Want To Go To The Moon". I had heard it a long, long time ago, I don't think it was on youtube , and can't remember how I exactly heard it , I just remember the song and that I liked it a lot.
