Arnel has a big voice and can really carry a tune but I can't shake the feeling that he does not know what he is singing and the expressions on his face are like someone sticking his finger in a socket. Half of what I love about Perry is the look on his face when he sang. Like Cain said, he would bleed. Arnel appears to be singing by rote.

Arnel is a talented singer and has alot of energy on stage, but when Perry sings, he sings directly from his heart, he just pulls you right into the song!
Perry is such a very gifted singer and performer that NO matter who they get to sing for Journey, or how talented the singer is, they will never find anyone to sing those classic hit songs "the way" Perry made the audience FEEL when he sang them!!
Perry is just ONE -OF- A- KIND!
I do wish Arnel the best in his music carreer though!

Wow - first the lil guy did a darn good job. Much better than Soto in my opinion. He has a big heart - you can see that in how he was interacting with fans. I wish him luck. Honestly - I really wanted to select the link and then laugh and turn it off because they were so bad. That did not happen. I watched it all and I applaud Mr. A. He is no SP and he will admit that I am sure.
Second - unfortunately for A his voice will get ran into the ground ASAP because N&Co. will exploit it knowing the truth of the whole matter [see SA for a good example] and needs to make $$ on the road since the new material does not sell.

I saw that Journey will be performing four of their new songs tonight. That will be what will interest me. I'm tired of hearing the Journey hits passed around from singer to singer. It would be great for Arnel to make a few hits out of this album.
