The boy likes him some baseball. blogs.mercurynews.com/extrabaggs/2009/04/16/postgame-notes-dodgers-pick-on-renteria-cain-stats-la-pitching-shines-journey-time/A great treat for me today. I got to meet legendary “Journey” singer Steve Perry. He’s a huge Giants fan and attends a lot of games at Dodger Stadium. I was happy to discover he’s also a tremendously nice person. I asked him what he thought about the Dodgers appropriating “Don’t Stop Believin’” as their rally cry in the eighth inning. They play it every home game and the fans have begun singing along, just like “Sweet Caroline” in Boston. It’s kind of funny. Those fans aren’t aware that that powerful tenor voice blaring over the speakers belongs to a die-hard Giants fan. “Yeah, well,” Perry said, “I never thought I’d be the rally monkey for the Dodgers.” Considering the Dodgers tied the game in the eighth and won it in the ninth, I think they’ve gone beyond the fair-use clause.

Well with that GREAT voice singing "DSB" on the speakers, and the crowd joining in on the song too, it's understandable how that helped the Dodgers get more motivated to win the game. I was flipping through my channels and saw the game advertized, I wondered if Steve would be there watching the game.
