Moyes was good friends with Jeff Porcaro and is still good friends with Mike P.

Almost everytime I talk to Moyes he mentions how amazing of a player and guy Jeff was and how cool Mike is, I will have to email him about Tommy and see what he has heard or knows if anything...

* LA UPDATE

Hey guys and girls...here's a small update
I can't tell you how much i miss my lovely girlfriend Cecilia and the kids but being here in the sun working with so many cool people isn't half bad!!....
After a pretty long flight with the usual stop in England we had to do a emergency landing at Rejkavik on Iceland because one in the flight crew got seriously ill...it didn't bother me so much cause i got to see a bit of iceland up close and it was beautiful
it was my first time flying with Virgin Atlantic and i'll never use another airline again cause the plane was perfect with a very cool entertainment station in every seat with 50 movies, TV shows and a playstation and the whole crew was wonderful....

I jumped right into work first day there writing a killer song called "LIE TO ME" with legendary writer Holly Knight for the swedish hard rockers The Poodles new album that's coming out May 10th.
Holly has written some classic songs like "Simply The Best" for Tina Turner, "Ragdoll" for Aerosmith, "Hide Your Heart" for KISS and "Love Is A Battlefield" for Pat Benatar and i love writing with her, we're also writing right now for one of the biggest things in USA but more about it later.
The band became an overnight sensation recently while competing in the Eurovision contest and has been topping the charts since then.
My girlfriends brother Niclas and his partner Fred are the most talented music video directors in Europe with 2 MTV awards for their work with The Rasmus and of course lots of other great videos.
They're here with me trying to break into the US market and things are going really well for them and it looks like they've landed their first video already and people are truly blown away by their work here.

I'm hanging and working with my dear friend Russel Ali as much as i can, this guy is so hot in LA that i'm beating you all that he will be a super star by the end of this year...everybody wants to work with him and we're writing some seriously good stuff together....he is also involved with me and Holly Knight in this big thing coming.

i have about 20 big writing sessions coming in the next month and a couple of them are VERY exciting so this trip is a lot of fun i can tell you...i'm also trying to catch some great live shows like my buddies Mike Landau and Michael Thompson who are playing at Baked Potato and La Ve Lee, Landau with Abe Laboriel jr and st plus Greg Mathieson and Thompson with his killer band that includes his son.
I'm also seeing Larry Carlton, Sarah Kelly and a few other cool shows this month which i'm looking forward to...

Yesterday i went to a wonderful meet and greet session with 2 time Oscar winner Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby), his latest movie "Crash" won 3 Oscars a month ago including BEST PICTURE and i saw it on the flight....amazing movie!!!
He was very funny and is a really brilliant man, he is also writing the new James Bond movie plus some other major things....
A couple of days ago me and Russel had a fun lunch with my buddy Steve Porcaro and the 3 of us will do some writing which i think will turn out really cool....Steve is a very funny man and i'm going to him this weekend to finish the songs we've written for Josh Groban as well.
I also spoke to Bobby Kimball today cause Toto got back to LA a couple of days ago, they on a short break from their amazing tour...don't miss it if it comes to your town!!!....we're having dinner soon before they leave again.
I also plan to see Luke before they leave.

I'll try to take more photos and update weekly while i'm here....

Boy, this guy Tommy sure is working with LOTS of musicians..... I know he didn't mention Perry, but hey, I wonder if Perry could possibly be ONE of the exciting ones that is coming next month?? I sure hope so!

I guess we will just have to stay tuned into Tommy's website to find out.

Wonder what the "big thing" is? And Toto's on tour, I used to love them. Wonder if they have any "clones". I know one of them passed away but I haven't really heard anything about them in years.

When I talked to Moyes he did mention he was going to be running into him and I saw in his notes there he was planning on seeing Larry Carlton (Moyes plays drums for Larry on the live shows) so who knows maybe Moyes will fill us in a bit once they meet up, I owe him an email anyways so I will see if any new things pop up on his end and fill in here if I find out.

Hi! No, I haven't heard anything else, just that he should know if it is a "go" with Steve in a couple days...which has now been longer than that! He did say he will post it as soon as it is confirmed. It looks like on his site that he is hinting at something big happening while he is there, but he's dangling the carrot. I wish he'd come out and tell what it is!
Bill, I hope you can get some kind of info from Moyes, too.

Now this is some what fustrating he just needs to say what this big thing is cause he is just dragging our feelings & hopes through the mud. I want to know if it even has anything to do with Steve Perry that way I will be able to sleep better or at all for that matter. (FYI, this makes me feel like when I was a kid and we were going somewhere fun so I couldn't sleep cause I was too excited to get to that place ;D)
