I got this interview off the MR Journey Board, so if my link does not work here , then go to the thread about Convictions & Integrity. The link & interview is there. Well, Mr. Cain seems to be full of himself in this interview. I'm confused, too. Is the sound of the band intact or two different animals?? Isn't he contradicting himself??
Oh,...show of hands...who minds that Perry is not still part of the group?? *I* mind, Jon!

Yea, like I said on MR board, Cain does NOT speak for ME at all, I CERTAINLY DO MIND that Perry is NOT in Journey anymore, I just respect & accept Perry's decision that he does not want to perform with them again, that's all. Sing solo, do whatever he want to do , just as long as HE is HAPPY!!! That's how I feel!
The point about Augeri & Perry being "two different animals", so if Jon really feels that way, then why did they ( band) promote Augeri as a sound alike to Perry??? As I stated over there on the MR board, I NEVER felt that Augeri sounded like Perry to begin with, but that is the way the band promoted Augeri, from the very beginning of his start with Journey. Cain's remarks make no sense to me!
I feel the comment about Perry didn't write all the songs ( not exact words), was uncalled for because the fans have NEVER stated or implied that "Perry wrote all the music", again as I said before, just jon's poor perception of what HE THINKS the fans are thinking & his own resentment coming through the interview.
Notice he never really addressed the lip synching issue directly.

ok.... the sound of the band has remained intact but not comparing? OH OK, then why are oyu comparing it to the past mr cain?

Does he somehow think he can separate himself from all that has been going on just by saying that HE goes out and gives his best every time they play? Aren't they a BAND? He is doing the same thing he always does....try to make everyone think this version of Journey is just as good as the classic version...just a "different animal". I bet he owns STOCK in Kool-Aid! It's obviously his drink of choice, too.
