Hoping Steve makes a decision to play live again someday soon, sure do hope he has the bug again...
Can't wait to see what is on that cd coming in October 06.

I'm with you I hear you am longing to hear this man live for once in my life. Am so curious as to what that is being released on october. Do you suppose it is the rereleases? Frontiers, FTOSM, etc...?

It was found over on the vh1 Steve Perry (artist board) that there is a CD, "The Best Of Steve Perry" with no songs listed, but shows it being released October 3, 2006. It could be the solo re-releases that Perry is doing, but there is confusion over,whether this is OUR Steve Perry's Cd, or some other musician with the same name as OUR Steve.

Just to let you know that a poster at melodicrock.com got confirmation from Lora Beard that the CD being re-released is the Greatest Hits +5 on October 3,2006. She thinks Don't fight it might be the bonus, but not for sure, and other Cd's will be re-released on that same date too.
You can find Lora's message on "False Alarm" Thread at the MR message board, or maybe arden or icubud could post the message from Lora beard over here for everyone to read.

The re-releases scheduled for Oct 3 (as far as I know) are:
Departure (which was originally scheduled to be released with the first round of re-issues but was pushed back due to a technical issue)
Frontiers
ROR
TBF
Street Talk
FTLOSM
SP's GH + 5
I believe all of these will have the updated booklets and some are going to have bonus tracks.

at least we got rumors stopped now.
somone else on another site was thinking new material etc. once it was posted this was it, i posted to her response, this is exactly what i thought it was RE release. she has since gone back into the wood work.

I haven't seen all the track listings yet but I believe Departure has Natural Thing and Little Girl; Frontiers has Only The Young, Ask The Lonely, Liberty & Only Solutions; ROR has two live tracks - Girl Can't Help It and I'll Be Alright w/o You. Don't know on the others yet.
