It's ok, nothing new. Unfortunate editing by someone who obviously speaks English as a second language. A few grainy black and white photos, only a couple I hadn't seen before. One whole chapter is stories by fans about meeting Steve. Discography in the back. My copy will probably go to Ebay unless any of ya'll are interested in a used copy.

Thanks for the review. Are the articles and interviews through the years in their entirity in the book? It's ok, nothing new. No, she kind of tells the story in her own words, with quotes from Steve that came from magazine articles, Vh1 specials and old interviews. A lot of the stuff she used is on Perryville and USPFC. It's not a really BAD book, but I wouldn't have bought it new if I'd seen it first.

sparkle i feel the same way its 217 pages, NO NEW INFO, maybe a story here and there i didnt know but honestly knew all that was written. no mention of steve's father death but talked of his mothers and grandfathers. all pics in the back maybe 10, all were 1979 nothing newer. all info was from quotes or from interviews steve had done.

Yeah, it's a bit overpriced for what it is too. I love a good interesting bio but this wasn't it. If you want all the readily available info about Steve's career in book form then by all means buy it. BTW, whoever posted my review over at the Crock, I must stand corrected - SOME of the fan stories are apparently from fans who have NOT met Steve, lol. I skipped the fan chapter since I had no interest in it and it looked like it was mostly stuff from other Perry sites.

Thanks for clarifying what you meant. Were you asked your permission before your post was taken to the Crock? For future reference to all...taking another member's post from this site and posting it elsewhere is not OK. There is a difference if it is a published review, but this was a review by another member here. I'm sure if she wanted it posted at the Crock, she would have done so herself. Thanks, Arden. No, they didn't ask but I never post anything on public sites that I would mind anyone reading. One of the "contributors" over there made a remark about it, and I don't post at all over there so that's why I mentioned it here. I wasn't intentionally mean (didn't mean to be anyway) just stated my opinion. Like I usually do whether anyone wants it or not lol.
