Great Q&A session and this surprised me - WOW: 62) In all the times you've worked with other artists who were your favorite to work with? Who inspired you the most? SP: Neal Schon 79) You seem to really admire Neal Schon and you guys are magic together. Would you consider working with him outside of Journey? SP: Well he is and will always be a guitar genius and we were very good together that's for sure. There are many, many old relationships I would like to go back to but after they've run their course- sometimes only love is left...... without the desire to go back. Neal and I could be in that place.

Thanks to Lora for all her work! I am always surprised at how genuinely fond of Neal Steve still is, even after everything that happened and all the bad feelings all around. Good for him. He always is the mature, thoughtful one of the Journey men, at least when he speaks publicly about them. I enjoyed reading and appreciate the time it took to answer all those questions. Now I am going to be the wet blanket! LOL! I have to say I was extremely disappointed to see that he has not been in the studio yet for HIMSELF, but only to relegate himself to yet another background vocal on some obscure band's CD. Nice of him to help them out or whatever, but I just don't get it at all. A person with so much talent and still in his 50's, just letting it all go. Reminds me of Streisand and all her perfectionist ways and demons, which caused her to let it go for so many years that no one really cared as much when she finally did step back onstage. . See...I told ya I was gonna be a wet blanket, and I am probably the biggest Perry fan on the planet. I just don't get it at all. There are plenty of things he could sing that don't need the "summoning small animals backstage" vocal range. What could he possibly be thinking that he will just end his career at his age, singing backup? It just seems so wrong for so many reasons.

I'm not feeling that he is ending his career singing backup. I feel like he is using that to "warm up". He states each time that he wants to sing or is getting the itch. I also don't think that he has closed the door to working with Neal again...may even be putting the ball in Neal's court. I thought the comment that he and Neal "could" be at that point interesting. 48) There have been rumors going around saying that you have been in the studio doing some recording. Is this true? Or do you plan to do some recording in the very near future? We miss you so much and can’t wait to hear something new from you. SP: I received many of this same question…..more than any others. I certainly lately have been wanting to record again. Working with all these other groups and especially the GUFF recording has fueled the fire. What I want to say is..... I'm the biggest critic I could ever have to deal with, and that's why I don't pay attention to critics. SO- that being said- I think I'll sneak into a studio down here and see what comes out. At that time, I'll know what I have or not. Thanks for all the years of love and support for me to sing, for in the end......I sing for you! Thanks to Lora for all her work! Yes, thanks, Arden. You are the eternal Perry optimist and have successfully pulled my face back out of the carpet! LOL!! It is just that when I got wind of the news of him actually being in the studio, I just assumed he was finally doing something for us...not backgrounds for another band. I crashed and burned after I first read on the Q&A, but I'm taking it more in stride today. LOL! How cool would it be for him to do some side project with Neal, if those two could just manage to get hung up in a elevator together for a day or two? He has been doing some serious personal work to have let go of any ill feelings toward Neal and getting in touch with the "love" aspect of their previous partnership. Good for him!

The Q&A were a GREAT READ!! Although there wasn't any major announcements from him, I was ok with that because all I really wanted was just to hear from him again. That made me happy!!
