finally found a decent station in detroit, they seem to play alot of journey too, car is in the shop so have a rental and it has no cd player, so I was forced to listen to the raido for the last few days, and found 93.1 doug radio which seems to play quite a bit of Journey! You can even listen live over the net www.931dougfm.com/home.aspCaught strung out the otherday so pretty happy with it as a station on the whole, I gotta send a big thumbs up email to them or something. Hi, Bill,
I think those stations are popping up all over the country. They all have names like Doug, Kim or Jack FM. I like the music they play, which according to their tagline is "Whatever we feel like playing". I hear a lot of Classic Journey every time I tune in.
They all have a DJless format. It was Jack FM in LA that did a hostile take over of Joe Benson's station, Arrow FM, a couple of years ago. Joe has moved to KLOS.
Glad you found a station with good tunes.

In the area that I live in, the classic rock stations play alot of Journey music, and those are the stations that I generally stick to listening to when I'm driving in my car. Thanks for the link Bill, I'll check it out.

Yes, we have one of those here, too...Max FM, 99.5 out of Cincinnati. They play a lot of Journey tunes, too...I'm just not too sure I like the "DJ-less" part of it. I like that human connection. At least they have live weather and traffic reports.
Hugs!! Lee

Hey! It's great to hear that a lot of us are still listening to radio. Another board that I post at, claim, for the most part, that they can't be bothered with radio. I have two or three good stations that play Journey. One does play the lesser known hits. I've heard Missing You, You Better Wait and I Stand Alone. Love it when the D.J. says, "Steve Perry singing,".......... instead of Journey.

Most of our decent radio stations around here have changed over to country. I usually listen to the dj-less Jack fm. I'd listen more if there weren't so many commercials - I know they are a necessary evil, but they drive me nuts.
