I found this on another website, and I haven't had time to check it out to see if it works. Give it a shot and let us know if it works or if you find an easier way. 1. Whenever you're watching a video on YouTube, go to the address bar at the top of your browser. Notice the URL is something like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRTk0RPXtW4
2. Just in front of the youtube.com domain name, insert the word 'kiss'. For instance: www.kissyoutube.com/watch?v=tRTk0RPXtW4
3. Press the 'Enter' key and it will bring you to the kissyoutube website. Click on the download link provided to save the video to your computer.
NOTE: Remember to save your video with ".flv" extension. For instance: some_video_filename.flv.
IT'S THAT EASY!! Now, here's where it may get a little confusing. You MIGHT have to download a Flash player to see the video. Find the video you just downloaded and doubleclick on it. If it plays, you can ignore the rest of this. I don't know if some computers have a Flash player built into it, but mine didn't. So, I had to find one. You can go to www.download.com and they have various Flash players, but here's a direct link to the one I downloaded...it works GREAT because you can make the video full screen if you want!!
Download Flash Player 1.8
1. Click on "Download Now".
2. Save the file to your computer.
3. Doubleclick on the file to run the installation program.
4. During the installation you'll be asked to download additional stuff. I don't know what that stuff is, so I chose NOT to do it. If you do it, you're on your own with that part.
Once the Flash player is installed, you can open all the videos you've saved to your computer anytime.This is GREAT!!! Thanks, Arden! Anyone know how to copy this to your computer? |
