This is Reba McEntire talking about her Duets CD. www.newnownext.com/2007/09/gays-taught-reb.htmlHow did you decide who was going to be on the album? RM: I just went after some of my favorite singers. I was looking for half of the singers to be from the pop world and half from the country world. I made phone calls, sent emails, and I was thrilled by the people who said yes. Only two on my list wish fell off, because of different scheduling issues—Annie Lennox and Steve Perry.

Rats - that would have been great, I love Reba. Wonder what he's up to that he's too busy to do that? (if that really is the case).

Wow, that would have been something very special for Steve to sing with Reba! Anyways, even though Perry's schedule was busy, it still is a high compliment to Perry to be invited to sing with such a great singer like Reba.

Reba said that she's not going to give up on him tho.
GW: Is there anyone you wanted to be on the album who you couldn’t get in the studio with?
RM: Annie Lennox and Steve Perry [lead singer of Journey]. I have loved Steven Perry from the very first time I heard him. So I met him and visited with him, and he said, ‘I understand it, but I’m really busy.’ So I said, ‘That’s alright, but I’m going to come around again.’

That is so cool, I hope Reba does ask Steve to sing again, that would be great to hear a duet with both of them.
