Long story short, Stacey sells homes for a builder, they are selling the land & tearing down the current homes and building condos... Stacey and I will now be without a home (it was provided for us as part of her package) as well as out of her job at this site as the new condos will be staffed by another sales company. I also feel bad for the people who bought homes here, we don't even know how that will work in terms of compensation or what for them??? So now we are in limbo waiting for final words as to when we have to move, where we might be able to stay employed within this same company (might require moving to a new state even) and worst of all, we have no idea when or where we will be going. So we are in a state of panic at the moment, we hope it all goes smoothly and we are relocated to a nice property not far from our current location but who knows really whats next... The other bad part is Lauren was supposed to start school in sept here, depending on what state we are in they all are different as to starting age of kindergarten, so who knows where or when she will start school now, that is if we have to move before sept, but then again too i hate to pull her half way thru her first real year of school UGHHH... Good grief Bill. Ditto -here. Prayers and good thoughts. It is not right that a company can do that, I wonder if there is anything you two can do legally.

oh my word Bill. IM soooo sorry! CALL the peds office now see if you can get a copy of Lauren's records so that you are not caught w/o them and waiting two weeks at a new place to get her reocrds there and medical forms filled out. I took the boy's medical records w/me and was able to hand them right in to the new dr etc. My heart is hoping you guys wind up back around here!!!!!!! Prayers already been said ,keep chin up, will keep the prayers coming too! s

Bill,
I'm very sorry that is happening to you and your family. If the housing was negotiated as part of Stacey's salary, don't they have to provide you with housing legally??
I hope everything works out!!

Bill, I am so sorry to hear this. It seems like there is no security for anyone anymore. You are right that if you have your health and a healthy child you are still blessed, although I know it doesn't seem like it. Hang in there!

Its funny you say the land of OZ, we just watched wizard of oz over the weekend (one of Laurens favs) and the place we used to live at in Indiana had a HUGE Wizard of Oz Museum right down the street from us, about a 10 foot red ruby slipper in the front yard that you could see from the expressway almost a mile away LOL Theres NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!!! (wherever that is) - crossing fingers too that we at least get some answers soon... I too miss Chicago area, I hated the traffic BUT the stores and food can't be matched here in Michigan... (after a year still not a SINGLE Gyro or decent Pizza). Bill

lol bill
i feel the same way about here and their pizza. I love NY style pizza and in Chicago its not often you find a place that does that other than Pizza Hut, Dominos, Sbarro's. We found a decent pizza place that is called Nick's, itsa chain .. 3-4 of them out this way. Its decent good pizza/beer sat night lets get buzzed mood stuff. went to "elgin" to the grand victoria casino boat. elgin is a 'scarey' place. nice casino. we were bored there in about a hour. smokey ,yuck. small non smoking casino downstairs. we left but we knew that one of our front tires were going flat. a truck full of guys were beeping their horns , shouting out the window to bob(as i begged him not to put down the window), they said "your tire looks flat" ugh- it wasnt but wasnt far from it. so w/taht on our mind- and casino smokey wel eft. found 'fix a flat' at a local gasstation in a much better location and pumped it up. Ate at Nick's for dinner then left. got home. then next day brought the car to sam's club... only garage place that was open on a sunday - they fixed the tired for free- flat repair is free cost. The rim and something pressure on the tire was making the air come out. so they fixed it and its done. whew. cleaned out the cars, vaccumed them- washed the windows(inside out). Hit the boys room this AM.. big time. 3 garbage bags in hand and there i went. two almost full(mind you this is after how many garbage bags in NH that we did before we moved!) the grey totes are out of the room. Now to find a shelf thing to put their baskets in and they can get their toys out. Also held a 'fashion'show for the boys- made them try on every single pair of pant they have- for school etc. have a nice stack to give away jeans etc. whew! (mom/dad coming on wed so this is good energy that is making me do this)
have to get dry cleaning this afternoon and hit walmart quickly off ot chicago in the AM on the metra w/the boys for a day or most of the day. s

mini clip of our property was on the news like 8 times today 2 different stations, all ran basically same clip, I doubt it will do any good really tho... home.comcast.net/~billaustin/Falcon1.wmvSad to see this happening...dunno what is next for us or these residents who are mainly seniors most of which are on fixed incomes and cant afford 300K condos. As for us still no word where or when we will be moved to another site or whatnot, just in a waiting pattern... Bill
