"snow showers" and "flurries" were reported today MAYBE 1inch or 2 starting at 6am. WRONG! It started at 2pm and there is alot more than 2inches out htere now! unreal unreal unreal. i had to get a taxi to drive me down to hubby's car at train station to drive it home before roads were bad- he has a sports car (two seater). at least the people around me were being ginger w/driving as well. i get to go back out and get him at the trainstation too at 830pm - in my car excurssion. thank goodness. still go gingerly but not like the two seater! i use to love winter! s

Well we got NO snow. We got "wintry mix" which basically means the rain freezes and we still have to go to work. Plus my stupid car doors were frozen shut this morning. Broke 2 nails and finally got the back hatch window open and crawled all the way to the front (Explorer). My holiday spirit is being sorely tested today! sparkle

right now i would guestimate our snow is about 7-8 inches, they called off school, the back door has wind against it and the drift is up past the doorknob, guess we wont be using back door for a bit. I am wiped out from yesterday, we shovled and then went to the place we are moving to and washed walls all day to prep for primer.. so arms, back and my right shoulder are all spent physically, now i look outside at what dumped last night and i just wanna scream.... its gonna have to sit for now im wrecked at the moment, and lauren is home from school today, woke up took 2 advils so maybe by mid day ill get out there and at least clear a patch to and from the drive for stacey (she did go into work today, has work truck which is 4x4), her 1 and a half hour normal commute took closer to 2 and a half today she said but overall the main roads were ok and she made it in ok out there, i told her if it dumps more just stay there vs trying to get home... I used to love winter too just shoveling and driving in it sucks,,,,, every year i swear im gonna buy a snowblower, maybe this year will just be the year... Bill

speaking of winter, i saw out by you sher a southwest plane skid off midways runway and thru a fence onto street... I always hated driving down cicero in that area, those planes seem to drop in right on your head it feels like. Bill

MORE BAD WEATHER COMING TONIGHT ,all day tomorrow and early Thursday ending. Ok i have to go to hospital this am w/my one of my sons, tomorrow surgery (ear tubes so you know its early) and ill be in the bad weather ,unreal. tihnking of maybe going to a hotel close by to the hospital and staying there instead of maybe leaving at 4am abd being stuck w/traffic for 5hrs! Took 3hrs to go from Ohare to Downtown, should maybe take maybe 1hr if that, during the last badweather- on last Thursday!
