Reprinted with permission...Thanks, Kaj!!! The whole review can be found here: www.melodic.net/reviewsOne.asp?revnr=3415This is the Steve part!! The new album "The secret of moving on" has been in the works since 2001 when we first read that he had collaborated with Steve Perry on the two songs "A brand new start" and "For a woman". Sadly only one song ended up on the album but it´s still enough for many Perry fans to make this one of the most anticipated albums of the year,Steve Perry hasn´t only co-written "A brand new start" - he also makes a guest appearance on the chorus and responds like an echo to Pack on the second half of the song. This lovely ballad is ofcourse the highlight of the album and I get the same feeling from it like when I heard "Can´t fall asleep to a lullaby" on America´s 1984 album "Perspective" where also Perry did a guest appearance as well as being the co-writer of it.

I keep hoping that Steve will get the bug and record something all his own. I know we'd all buy it, no need to tour, lol! If wishes were horses, beggars would ride and all that sort of gibberish. But I will still conitnue to hope. Thanks for the review Arden!
Hugs! Lee

I was curious that the second song Steve co-wrote and sang did not make it on the CD. Maybe there are other plans for it??? I keep hoping that Steve will get the bug and record something all his own. Kaj, Do you have any information about why the second Perry song was not included on the CD??? If not, can you try to find out?? It would be interesting to know if there are other plans for it. Yes steve is on the first song on the cd i think the title is " send my baby home". you can heard steve in the background vocals. STeve is friends w/some of the members of motley crue and as a favor to Nikki Sixx he guest appeared on LaidLaw which is i think produced or founded or managed by nikki. cannot remember which one.
Good rocking album. I like the whole thing Do you have the hawaiian cd that he did background vocals on?

Steve has done backing vocals and guest appearances on many other artists songs, I believe, Kenny Loggins, Clannad, Jason Becker, Jeff Golub and, of course, on We Are The World. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I think I have a long list of them around somewhere.
David Pack's and Jeff Golub's are the most recent.

The Hawaiian cd artist is Tommy Tokioka good cd too. The LaidLaw cd came out about 1999 or 2000. Clannad had STeve P did a guest back up vocal on "White Fool" .. absolutely awesome. as Arden pointed he has sung w/a few. Kenny Loggins is "Dont Fight It". etc

Arden,I wish I had an answer to why the other song "For a woman" wasn´t included on David Pack´s new album. I can do my best to find out why but these artists aren´t so easy to get a hold of. We always have to live with these outtakes, don´t you all remember the song Steve wrote with Nuno Bettencourt for FTLOSTM - cannot remember the title and then ofcourse the two gorgeous "Lost angels" and "Let go" which he wrote together with Clif Magness but wasn´t featured on FTLOSTM.

Kaj, I bet he has some gems locked away somewhere. Maybe he will be inspired to put them all together for us someday. If you manage to find out anything, please let us know! I got my pre order in too.
Just hearing only a small part of the song, "A Brand New Start" made me wish I had the cd right NOW, so I could hear the whole song! The only thing I'm disappointed about is that the other song didn't make it on this cd too, but I'm still VERY happy that we are getting this new song with SP & DP singing!!!
