Hello, I believe that Steve is telling the truth. I feel this is someone who is pretending to be Steve. He seems to have better things to do that be on myspace.com. So I think he is not on here like he said.... ;D

Agree - I can't imagine him wasting his time on crap like that. Looks like a hangout for trashy teenagers...I'm sure he probably does surf the net some but if he is around, probably no one will ever know who he is. Heck, if I was that famous I wouldn't be able to resist Google-ing myself once in awhile, lol.

It's really ridiculous that this person thought he/she could impersonate Steve, and try to get away with tricking the fans like that. Steve has told the fans that he does not post on the internet & the place to find HIM (The REAL Steve Perry) would be on Fan Asylum, so I never fall for that trick, but I realize some fans don't know that though.
Anyways, I would have thought once Steve let it be known on Fan Asylum that wasn't him that the post would have been removed by now.

Yeah I just thought to myself ok that was a while ago (the interview where steve clearly says thats not me) and yet this goofball myspace profile is still up.
As you read it you can tell its someone poking fun

Lovin' RE-release

Hello,
In what should have been last year's silver anniversary of Journey's first time cracking the top 40 with the single Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin, I have re-secured the copyrights and plan to re-release it in a limited 10,000 unit run on mini cd format under it's ORIGINALLY INTENDED title of:
Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' (Ma' Balls)
It was an inside joke between myself and Schoen that the execs at Columbia put the kibosh on.
It should be out around X-mas hopefully. I hope some people don't take offense to my childish antics of '79... it was a crazy time man, and the title isn't suggesting what you think it may be suggesting.
TAKE YOUR MINDS OUTTA THE GUTTER!
The first thousand copies are planned to have a limited graphic of candid shots of the band during the Evolution period and will be autographed.

Guess its not just steve out there just for fun i put in Carrie Underwood and of course with how busy she is and all she has time to run a myspace blog (NOT!) hehe profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=19097210(and sadly there are many more saying they too are Carrie)... They can't even get the facts right but whatever... I just don't get how folks blindly reply and follow the profile as if it is true.. |

I don't get either, how people will blindly follow along & never think to QUESTION that anyone can post on the internet , and claim to BE who ever they want to be, but that certainly doesn't mean that is who they really are.
Besides Perry doesn't even "talk" or "write" like these so called impersonaters of him do. Perry is a much greater speaker & he seems to be very careful about the way he words things, so that his message doesn't get misunderstood by others.
These impersonaters clearly do NOT have Perry's eloquent style of speaking or writing , so I just don't understand how ANYBODY would fall for these cheap tricks.

Well I was guilty of having one of those fake Steve Perrys on myspace.com page but I feel I must make it clear to all that it was only for the purpose of using the song/video link. I did away with that myspace.com just doesn't seem right to have yourself out there for the whole world to view you, your family & friends as if you were on a catalogue of look at me either like me, hate me, rape me or kill me. I came to that realization and it is sad to see little and grown girls/boys with explicit pictures just waiting for the serial killer to find you and before you know it your picture wont just be on myspace.com it will be on the news and the back of the milk carton. Go figure.
