This was reported in the Chicago Tribune this morning -- !!!!!! "Journey to Victory" The White Sox have a theme song. And we're not talking about AC/DC's "Thunderstruck", which blares from the U.S. Cellular Field's sound system as part of the team's pregame ritual. The Sox's have adopted Journey's 1981 hit "Don't Stop Believin'" as their postseason rallying cry, with A. J. Pierzynski blaring the tune in the clubhouse after the team's pennant-clinching victory Sunday. And in an "Almost Famous/Tiny Dancer" moment, the players reportedly sang the song on the flight home from Anaheim. Now the Sox have invited former Journey frontman Steve Perry to Chicago as a guest for Game 1 of the World Series on Saturday at the Cell. "A. J. said, "We've got to get this guy to the World Series,'" Sox vice president of communications Scott Reifert told the Tribune. "Now we're just trying to see what we can do and how we can do it." posted this in the other room. tickets go on sale here in chicago land at noon, via ticketmaster, i have my fingers all warmed up and ready to go!!!! dh said' get 4" when i told him about the article!! ya baby, ill be using the binoculars and told dh we will be there EARLY to get in our seats(if we get tickets) and just sit and watch the 'people' lol.. s ;D

WOW!!! OH MY MY, that would be a 'REAL special treat' to see our Steve sing at the World Series!!! Surely that game would be televised, ( wouldn't it?) so maybe all of us fans would get to see him sing, let's hope HE does it!!!

I sure hope he goes! Even if it's just to meet the players in the clubhouse. They want him there that bad I think it would be a great thing for Steve to do.
As for singing, I think I remember Steve saying awhile back that he wouldn't want to sing at a game, only in the stands with everyone else.
Whatever happens.....what an honor and goes to show Neal ...again....Steve P is the one the fans think of and want to see.......
Like Sparkle said ....neener...neener ....neener Neal!

Channel 7 news... out of Chicago stated that the Sox want Steve to sing the National Anthem at their game! One of the players ... his name slips my mind ... says that when "they" go into a club they always ask for "Don't Stop Believin" to be played...so its kinda become their "anthem"!
From the announcement on the news, it doesn't sound like Steve will make it to the game to sing. But..... I hope the news show announcement was wrong!!!
Have a good night everyone, Webbie

Doubt that he will be singing. so far no mention of SP in the line up. game 1 is Josh G and Liz Phair and game 2 is Lou Rawles and ? etc i think they want him there more than singing but if wants to sing then im sure they will honor it! s
