home.comcast.net/~jerolkova/Journey_BillGrahamTribute91_Lights.wmvSomeone kindly posted this link on another site (and I kindly copied it for you guys lol) It's "Lights" from the Bill Graham tribute in '91. Steve can't seem to get the audience to sing along and you can kind of tell they aren't really enjoying playing together- and it's still awesome. Anyone who says Steve lost his singing voice in the 90's is nuts! sparkle

Thank you sparkle for posting that here. I hadn't seen it before either. I don't know what was up with that crowd that was there, but if I had been there, Steve would have had NO problem getting me to sing along with him.

This was a huge event headlined by the Grateful Dead. Most of the crowd were Grateful Dead fans who probably never heard Lights before. I was at that show and it was the biggest crowd I've ever been in. Several hundred thousand people. Steve tried his best to get the crowd into it, but it was not a Journey crowd so there wasn't much he could do.

Grateful Dead??? Well, that explains it. The crowd was probably too stoned to get into it!!! LOL!!! Thanks for the explanation, Lora. Thanks, sparkle, for sharing the clip link. ;D Welcome aboard Lora! Welcome aboard everyone. ;D I have been monitoring just not posting much. Glad to see some SP news. I really wish I could stop hoping ---- and could see some reality - in ref to SP and something new and all. Video was good (thanks for posting it Sparkle2) - he sounded good. Painful to watch though because of the crowd; that had to been awkward for them.

I have that video here somewhere, i think they did a few songs, I am about to head out of town for a mini trip to detroit for staceys work, but Sunday night when I get home I will find the tape watch it and make up a clip or two of whatever other songs are on there from that event, I thought most everyone thesedays had seen this stuff...
