That new music made Arrival sound good and I thought that Arrival was forgettable. I knew that Arnel would sound like that on new material, without great material to fashion his singing on. Now I see why most of what he does is covers. Like you can copy the Mona Lisa but you can't even come close in creating a similar painting. I didn't even think that the band sounded like Journey. I just listened to it. I agree with you that it doesn't sound like Journey to me either, but it is better than Arrival. I think your right his voice is greater on the cover songs , but singing this new song we are getting HIS real voice, which is not bad, it's good, but not as good as he does on the cover songs.

Well I watched a couple of the clips. The guy annoys me copying Perry's mannerisms, it just looks bizarre. Neal wanted a Perry clone, I guess he got one, sort of. It may just be the bad quality of the recordings but it sounds to me like he's already kind of straining to hit some of the high notes. I just hope the poor guy doesn't totally ruin his voice so he can still make a living after they dump him. As far as their new album, I'll pass. I can't really even work up enough interest to be really disgusted, lol.

I think that if and when the re-recorded Journey classics come out, we should organize a protest burning in front of Walmart stores. Wouldn't you know that Walmart would be behind something like this. I bet if you look real good, you will read "Made In China" somewhere on the label.

I'm frustrated with Neal & Jon that they still want to do the rerecordings of the classic hits, I just don't understand their need to rerecord what was already sung perfectly by Perry!
I won't be buying the new cd, I'll keep enjoying all my cd's and dvd's with Perry singing all that GREAT, GREAT music... I have no desire to hear anyone else singing those songs of the Perry /Journey years.
That time period of music is just way too special to mess with as far as I'm concerned. They need to make a cd with ALL new music on it, and then I might would be interested in listening to it.
