I'm hoping & wishing this is true, but IF it turns out NOT to be true, dang that classic VH1 sure got MINE & TONS of other fans hopes way up only to be let down. I really doubt 2008 but 2009 is possible.
I am sure there will be more pre-release buzz that VH1 mention when the time is actually near.
A nice thing to look fwd to in 2009 ;D

Here's the reply I posted on that "other board": This is exactly how the "SP keeps teasing us by telling us he's releasing an album but then doesn't" BS gets started. Some intern at VH1 was probably surfing the Net, read the comment from Mark Goodman and came up with this supposed news flash. SP has never said he has a album ready for release. He has said he working on material and that is true. Until I hear it from him that it's in the can, I'm not going to take what VH1 (or anyone else) says as anything more than gossip. |

Just wanted to add that if you look at wikipedia about SP the very last sentence says
VH1 Classic confirmed that Perry will be releasing a new solo album at the end of 08 or in early 09.
I figured I would have to come here to see the real story.
PS check out the picture on wikipedia, it is some bbq.
