SP is and will always be my favorite singer. No one can touch the voice.
That said - I have been sitting here with goose bumps, squishy eyes, and joy watching and listening 2009 Journey concert songs on You Tube. AP is being true to SP's spirit and love for the music and the fans. Don't shoot me for writing this.
The MUSIC that SP created with Journey is in good hands so far with AP. And - I will see these guys as soon as I can.

No problem! You are among many who feel this way. It's called being a Journey fan, whereas many others are stirictly Perry fans and feel as Perry does, that he is only interested in the band durning his time as frontman. He brought the band to my attention and I have tried but I just can't get excited or interested as with Perry. I have attended concerts with the other singers just to be fair but always came away knowing that the thrill was gone. I really don't have the slightest interest in seeing them with Arnel tho. I'm glad that he got his big break as he worked hard for it and I'm glad that he has helped the band continue touring.

Hey icubud, How are you? As you already know , Yes I am a die hard Steve Perry fan and only want Steve Perry singing those Journey songs, but those are MY feelings. I certainly don't expect other fans to feel the same way as me. I respect ALL points of views and opinions from everyone and would not "shoot" anyone for having a different opinion than me. So your definitely safe with me icubud. ;D

Thanks to both of you for your comments. Ultimately I would rather have SP singing the lead as well. But what is also true is I miss the music. Yeah, put on a CD. You and I know there is a HECK of a difference between a CD [even live event] and a concert.
Boy do I miss the whole concert experience. I had seventh row seats for Rush's Snake and Arrows tour. Freaking great show! And they play boy do the guys play. Yet - still - nothing on the energy level and heart/emotional pull of SP/Journey. Not even close.
On the way home from work I thought of an interesting studio project. PS - Perry Schon CD. You know since the guys "broke the stone" of Journey according SP, then why not a career move like P.S. I thought it was interesting at least.
Y'all take care - and if anyone out there is looking who can get SP to talk to his fans - please do so!!

Hmmm... that last interview that Neal did with GQ or whatever article it was, Neal seemed to have really slammed that door shut of him and Perry ever working together again with his rude remark towards Perry at the end of that interview. As far as Perry talking to his fans He was at a Giants game signing autographs a little while back. It is posted on the board here with a picture.

Pretty limited audience and info, I mean more of something like a statement on what he is doing, any idea of timing, and that kind of stuff. I'm sure the PS idea will never happen, but it is was an idea.
