I got this information off of the MR board and wanted to make sure I shared it here on this board. It's about Steve Perry of course!  I'm very happy to say that Steve is going to be doing an interview with Nicky Horne on Planet Rock on February 1rst at 7PM. It will be REAL nice to hear from HIM again!!! Just FYI, the interview with Steve and Planet Rock did not happen today for reasons unknown. I hope he is alright.

Yes, I listened to the interview, you know I did!! ;D I had the station on early to make sure I would not miss the interview. I knew when they played DSB , HE was on the radio. ;D He sounded really good and I'm so glad we got to hear from him!! It made my day! |

I've read on another board that a few fans are foolishly complaining and are angry at Perry for not making a new music. They feel that he promised them new music and didn't deliver for them, and that is totally NOT the case! They feel he should have made an announcement on that interview yesterday saying something about his new music, it didn't happen the way they wanted it too, so now they are angry and spouting off about it.  The FACTS are Perry has NOT EVER said he was going to make new music available for the fans to buy, so with that said, I just wanted to let you know Steve Perry that you do NOT have to "do something" for me to remain your fan. I've said it here many times, You are my favorite singer on the planet, and I will always be a fan of yours no matter what you do!!! |

They are probably the same people who would complain about the sound of the new music, if he did make any, too. I never have understood the attitude some seem to have that he owes anyone anything. He has never promised anything. The whole purpose of the interview was to promote DSB as it has had such a resurgence in its popularity. Some even had him back with Sony as a performer when that is not the case either. I think it is just nice that he is the one out there receiving attention that he deserves for his part in the song's popularity. Someone was nice enough to put the interview on Youtube. Thank you for posting the links arden. I was just thinking when he was talking about being a DJ , can you imagine Steve Perry being a DJ? I think that would be great! As well as him being an amazing singer , he also has a really great speaking voice too,we fans would get to listen to him talk on the radio , and could call in making request for him to play HIS music on the radio for us. I'm sure the phone lines would be jammed too. Plus he would have A LOT of music knowledge to give to his listening audience. Hey I like the sound of Perry being a DJ! |
