Well of course I would not want that information to be true.
But I recall some time a while back that Lora & Cindy had lunch with Steve and heard demos of him singing his new music, and I'm pretty sure Randy Jackson heard the songs too. I don't recall their exact words about the demos, but I remember enough that neither of them said anything about him having any kind of vocal problems.
I understand his voice would not be the same as what it was years ago, but I still believe in him, and he will ALWAYS have my support no matter what the situation is for him!

Thanks for sharing this article.
I am not a singer but I know a lot about singing. Singing uses a lot of muscles, vocal chords, diaphragm etc. and if you do not sing or better put - work the vocal system responsibly it will "go away" hence "he's lost his voice". Now the reality is it isn't really lost its just "asleep". All he has to do is start working it again, slowly but surely not pushing it hard but using the pipes every couple/few days and it will "awaken" become primed up again and then - watch out - some great music once again. As he has gotten older it is natural for the tone of the voice to deepen or another way to put it - drop from tenor to baritone. Baritone has an unbelievable range and I honestly believe that is where he is at --- and definitely was in TBF. Steve knows music and he knows how to sing - the proper mechanics - so without a doubt if the man wants to produce new music he can and he would be absolutely awesome doing it. I can't think of any other singer (prime years which includes TBF) that actually sings and "enunciates" and has the great mechanics like he does. All that to "say" --- no "bad news" in the story. Its good to know that the guys actually liked him and he liked being with them. That is a huge positive in my book.
