Ok, help me out here...what is Rolling Thunder?? (I do get that GM is grand marshall) LOL! Is Rolling Thunder what they are calling the parade?

Rolling THunder is a motor parade- no walking but trucks and "Duck" Tour boats that will roll threw MANY MANY streets.
I wont be able to go. as its halloween parade/party day at my boys' school. i signed up to bring in food and then they are having a parade themselves in their costumes. HOW CAN I MISS THAT.
BUTBUT BUT dh works downtown and i just sent him an email BEGGING HIM TO GO GET PICS OF OUR MAN IF HE IS IN THE PARADE ill post the info as it comes through!

It looks like there's a chance that he'll be there! This was posted in the Chicago Tribune:
(James Law, the city's special events director) "said the city also was "looking into" possibly having former Journey lead singer Steve Perry as a part of Friday's festivities. Journey was the band that recorded "Don't Stop Believin'" 24 years ago. Sox players adopted the tune as their unofficial theme song for their victorious 2005 season."

I'm glad they moved the parade up to tomorrow. I couldn't picture him sticking around until Monday. I bet we won't be able to see it, though, unless someone is there and tapes it or tapes it from their local Chicago station. We used to get a Chicago station here, but no longer.

they are doing double decker buses to bring the players and all in on. STarting at Bridgeport aka Cominsky Park - through China Town into Greek town, ending there then starting Ticker tape parade in Greek Town - and ending at LaSallle and Wacker. ITs going to be nuts
Dh's firm he works for - people are already saying"im not in tomorrow" the know how nuts its going to be. DH will try to go as well to get picks of SP .Not sure how probable that will be- as his schedule varies(lawyer). But Kathy/Tree will have a blast
