There was nothing wrong with the way Steve Perry answered in that interview. How long has Steve Perry been out of Journey now?? What did Neal expect his answer to be??? Steve did not bring up Journey, as always, it is the reporters that keep asking him that question over & over. He politely responded to this reporter's question, NO arrogance at all from Steve. He appears happy, and looks great, and best of all, when HE SANG that was the sweetest sounding voice to my ears. This "very proud Perry Fan" is happy!!
As for Neal, he is the one who behaves arrogantly! And sadly this would not be his first time Neal has behaved this way. You would think he would use his FB page to promote Journey in a positive way, not have to attack his former band mate publicly for no reason, and then proceed to also insult Perry fans. Let me make clear, I do NOT go to to Neal's face book page.. I support Steve Perry on this website. Steve Perry made it very clear many years ago that he would not rejoin Journey, so this fan respects that and waits to hear new music from Steve Perry.
As for choosing one singer over another that is the choice of all fans, of course I choose Steve Perry cause he is the one I saw in concert , he is the original singer & co writer of all those GREAT classic songs, so that is who I enjoy hearing singing those songs and continue to want to hear singing those songs. That is my right, my choice, as I am sure the Arnel fans would say about Arnel.
Neal is just jealous, as always, that his CURRENT Journey Band does NOT get the kind of publicity, and recognition, and respect that Steve Perry gets from the media and all those millions of fans that still love him and want him to sing again. And It is certainly NOT Steve Perry's fault that "Arnel is just waiting", how is that Perry's fault? And if "Arnel is King" as Neal says, why is Arnel just waiting?? Maybe if Neal would learn to promote his current band POSITIVELY in interviews, FB, every where, and quit attacking his former lead singer for no reason, and Neal got some class about himself, MAYBE Arnel might not have to wait, but as long as Neal keeps behaving foolish.... Arnel will continue to wait.
