Hi icubud, I hope you are doing good! I heard that interview that Steve Perry did with Alan Light, it sure was a great interview!!! Steve always gives such sincere heart felt interviews, and we fans also get to learn new things about him that we didn't know about him before. I seem to recall a long time ago hearing he wanted to be a doctor, but did not know he wanted to be a child neurologist. Neurology would be a very interesting field to be in, just to learn how the brain works & learn more about all the many different medical issues that can occur in the brain. I was thinking in my own situation with my daughter's neurological problems that she was born with how some doctors would really make huge efforts to figure out what was going on, while other doctors just did what they had to do, no interest in going deeper to find out "the whys" of what was happening to her, so I can relate to that. I think if He had chosen to be a neurologist, he would have been a very good one cause of what he had experienced with his mother's specific medical problems, and could relate more to his patients & family members of how they are struggling with the medical problems & their feelings of coping with it. I also love the entertaining way he talks about his music, and I really do agree with HIM that HIS music really does "pull you in" to his songs, it makes you want to hear more & more of it. I'm very happy for the direction he ended up taking because we fans have this wonderful, emotional sincere heart felt music that speaks very sincerely to our hearts!!!
