When Journey played Houston tonight, Augeri wore an Astros jersey when they did DSB and proclaimed "Journey music is for everyone"!! What's up with that??
Why can't they ever rise above it all? Perry is such a class act.

i laughed when i saw your post Arden. so i went over to BT to see what was written over there. The "Jrny Music for everyone' was left out so i went ahead and posted it lol. i said "well they forgot that 1.7 million people PLUS the tv watchers KNOW that Journey music is for everyone, but i guess it had to be said so that we all know" LMFAO

Oh I definitely think the Chicago newspapers and the Sox team need to get a look at that photo! Goes to show you how they have to try to counteract the publicity and love that follows Perry everywhere. I was reflecting last night on how Augeri was on stage w/ Perry at the WOF holding a plaque. For WHAT? At that point he hadn't written a d**n thing or sung anything but cover songs. Neal & Jon aren't even smart enough to realize that Augeri takes them to another level allright.....TO THE BASEMENT! Last night's stunt in Texas really proved it. Didn't Jon just say that it isn't about baseball, it's about a rock show?  Looked like it was ALL about baseball and their jealousy of Perry last night. I am so tired of them trying to cash in on his fame. |

Well I say let them make complete fools out of themselves, let them be petty, and jealous, and ticked off. The more they do it, the more it makes them look like a$$holes.
They held on to Perry's tails for dear life when he was in the band, they're doing it now that he's not. Any publicity Perry gets, they seem to want to turn it around for their own benefit.
Go ahead, UnJ...keep trying to slap Perry in the face. It will only come back to you in the end.

Anyone take a close look at Augeri in that pic? He is losing his HAIR. And that big earring? Looks like something a woman would wear. I don't know whose idea the Astro's shirt was, but it was a BAD one. It just makes them look sooooo affected by what Steve does.

As long as Jon & Neal keep doing stunts like this & bad mouthing Steve in their interviews, THEY will always be in Steve Perry's shadow.

Apparently, Augeri's halo isn't as shiny as some would have us believe, either.
That stunt just reeks of jealousy, IMO.
The classy thing to do would have been to not play the song at all out of respect for the loss of the Astros, but for Augeri to go to the opposite extreme and make that comment about a song he had NO part in writing or making famous was just petty.

yeah i agree that was a cheap shot. and gee did they make a blip on the radar as to what htey did-perform? hmm no-didnt hear it here on the news. But Perry being at the Sox's games made national news,every game.
